Golden Visa Portugal - Latest numbers

The Portuguese Immigration Services have just updated their statistics on the Golden Visa programme. The latest statistics show some quite impressive numbers and confirm the continuing increase in the interest in the Golden Visa by foreign investors.  According to the latest figures, there have been 1279 approvals in 2014 alone, out of a total of 1775 approvals so far since the launching of the Golden Visa programme. 

The numbers so far this year reveal the tremendous success of the Golden Visa programme with international investors and the expansion of the interest to multile parts of the world, such as the middle east, south africa and others.

The sucess of the Golden Visa programme has represented a very significant amount of direct investment in Portugal, already totaling over 1 Billion Euro since the launch of the programme.  The numbers regarding the investment reveal that the preference for property is still well ahead at the top of the list, with a total investment of over 970 Million Euro.
